UNFPA strengthens representation from youth networks in government policy dialogue, including in committees and consultations.

UNFPA helps to institutionalize the involvement of youth organizations in policy dialogue, with particular emphasis on the inclusion of marginalized groups and girls, by supporting a National Youth Participation study which maps the existing structures, activities of youth organizations, and conveys their recommendations.

Youth organizations are encouraged to take a leadership position in promoting young people's right to family life education. Youth networks can avail of small grants to implement peer education and awareness raising programmes.

In 2014, UNFPA embarked on a collaboration with the National Olympics Committee and the Afghanistan Cricket Board to promote youth empowerment through engagement in sports clubs, particularly for girls.
