"Funding for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and Girls (GEEWG) in Humanitarian Programming, is the final report of the case study and research that was commissioned through a partnership between UN Women and UNFPA and was produced by the Share Trust. The aim of this work is to gather evidence and undertake research to ascertain existing funding flows – and the impact of any shortfall – to GEEWG in humanitarian action, including the levels of funding requested, funding received, and the consequences of the funding gap. The research has specifically answered four questions including: Funding Required, Current Funding, Funding Gap; and Consequences of the Funding Gap. Ending with the key findings, the research provides ten recommendations to address the funding gap for GEEWG."
