Ghor Socio-Demographic and Economic Survey
The publication of the Socio-Demographic and Economic Survey (SDES) for Ghor is a significant achievement for the Afghanistan Central Statistics Organization (CSO). The first SDES was conducted in Bamiyan Province in September 2011. In the following September it was rolled out in the provinces of Ghor and Daykundi, with financial support from the Government of Japan and technical support from UNFPA.
Assessment of Services Provided to Victims of Gender-based Violence 2011
This assessment is part of expert support provided by UNFPA to the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Women’s Affairs. The goal of the assessment was to examine state and non-state agencies providing services for victims of gender-based violence on provincial, district and community levels in three pilot areas of Afghanistan (Bamyan and Nangarhar provinces and Kabul city).
